This has been a pretty exciting month for The Barbados Babe, Rihanna. After having been crowned Harvard’s humanitarian of the year, she presented her FENTY x PUMA Fall/Winter 2017 runway show at Paris Fashion Week. This year Rihanna returned to the City of Lights and debuted at The National Library of France, very fitting for her schoolgirls inspired theme with “Fenty University.”
“When I was in school, it was always my dream to be able to dress up in whatever I wanted,” Rihanna said in a statement. “But in Barbados, it was mandatory to wear a school uniform, so I had so much fun this season creating these “Back to School” inspired looks, and I’m honored to present the collection in such a majestic national monument.”
The collection includes some high-octane colors such as yellow, green and orange paired with traditional school colors like oxblood and navy. She went in with a heavy dose of velour and satin jerseys and nylon puffers. The varsity patches she incorporated throughout the collection gives off a very scholar vibe. There’s something for every high school archetype: the jock, the skater, the goth, the nerd, the preppy, and of course, the bad gal. Take a look at some of the men’s looks from the show.
